The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Idaho are often more challenging than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. Briefly about the general area: A spree to Salmon National Forest revives the spirit, and Fritzer Gulch is in the vicinity, and is a magnificent site.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Hot Springs Trail, and you're sure to stumble upon some fine people from Shoup here. This is such a fun river. Don't leave
Panther Creek without first going for a hike along the Birch Creek Trail. Not much rain falls here at Panther Creek. The month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
