Idaho whitewater, Payette River Boise county, Beehive Bend to Jet Boat Ramp section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II+(III)     6 miles   The Beehive Bend to Jet Boat Ramp section of Payette River in Idaho is 6 miles long and has been rated as a class II+(III) section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. If you're coming from Boise City-Nampa it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The nearby hotels     are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The campgrounds here at Payette River are pretty good. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Beehive Bend to Jet Boat Ramp stretch is just one of them. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for   that around here. Briefly about the general area: Bogus Basin has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Shirts Creek Trail. Jerusalem Valley is near Payette River and is beyond doubt a fine location to take a look at; if you're here you can take a hike along the Dry Buck Mountain Trail. This is such a great river. At Payette River you always meet someone from Horseshoe Bend. At Payette River throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's while Payette River nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
