Briefly about the general area: On a pleasant day at Pine Creek you can take a hike along the Carlton Cutoff Trail, and while you're here, you might as
well explore Mike Spencer Canyon. At Pine Creek you always meet someone from Swan Valley. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Pine Creek. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime
highs are generally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Pine Creek temperatures plunge to the 0's. Around Pine Creek you don’t get a lot of rainfall.
