The put-in is not too far from Mountain Home, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho are harder than the national norm, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. |

the Yellow Belly Trail which is a great hiking trail. A journey to Challis National Forest when you're here at Salmon River is never a bad idea, and the Bull Moose Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. At this river you will
never have a bad time. Here at Salmon River you'll possibly meet some people from Stanley; what would a site like Salmon River be without exciting nearby traits like Mormon Bend.
