This stretch of Salmon River in Idaho is 28 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. at Salmon River temperatures are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Salmon River.
