Briefly about the general area:
Why not take a refreshing hike along the Broken Leg Trail; a good location to visit nearby is Little Slate Creek Saddle. So much fun stuff to do here in the Clearwater Mountains, too good to be true. Salmon River is right
by the Lava Butte Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Salmon River, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Salmon River dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
