Briefly about the general area: There's splendid hiking along the Blackmare Cutoff Trail,
and Payette National Forest is both great and wonderful. So many enjoyable things in the Salmon River Mountains, just unbelievable. The Cougar Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. Summer at Salmon River - South Fork arrives
with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Salmon River - South Fork are in the 0's.
