This section of Smith Creek in Boundary County is 6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V+ section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river     tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Smith Creek Bridge to above Smith Creek Falls section is one of them. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
