Idaho whitewater, Snake River

Twin Falls Jerome county, Milner Power Plant to Star Falls section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.

CLASS I(II)     7.3 miles
This stretch of Snake River in Twin Falls/Jerome County is 7.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I(II) section. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The starting point is not too far from Burley, as you can see on the road map further down. A good workout and just being
out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. The wonderful Idaho scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you
feel great. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Milner Power Plant to Star Falls section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds
nearby.
