The nature scenery of Idaho and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in is not too far from Rexburg, as you can see on the road map further down. The average Idaho whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Now this is a pretty long section, so better bring your camping gear along.
| There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Palisades Dam to Launch Site East of Poplar stretch is one of them. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There's camping available near Snake River - South Fork. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that.
