Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Bitterroot Range |
and you get great scenery. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
| You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Spruce Tree Campground to Gold | |
