The starting point is not too far from Rexburg, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Teton/ Madison/ Fremont County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
    Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Idaho tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. You can pitch
a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This section of Teton River in Idaho is 5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't  
matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Highway 33 Bridge to Spring Hollow section is just one of many.

Briefly about the general area:
Here at Teton River there are plenty of people from Ashton, and the Carlton Cutoff Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. It is very waterless here at Teton River commonly. For the duration of the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July on the other hand is the driest. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Teton River get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's.
