You may find some interest in a video we produced for the Nature Conservancy, Blue River, Indiana. You can find it here: http://www.vimeo.com/2973037 by RAVENSWOOD MEDIA. Says David McGowan

The wonderful Indiana scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Blue River have people coming here. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind
that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The starting point is not too far from Elizabethtown, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you
won't find many other paddling spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. There's camping available
near Blue River. The White Cloud to Blue River Chapel section of Blue River in Indiana is 2.4 miles long and is a class I(II) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater.
