This stretch of McCormick's Creek is 1.5 miles long and is a class II-III(V) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of paddling places. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are     often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Bridle Trail to White River section is one of them. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came.
