  The Park and Play section of Boone River in -blank- County is 0.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I(II) section. The put-in is not too far from Boone, as you can see on the road map further down. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. This is
    one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. This is a very short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The scenic beauty of -blank- County and the beautiful way the water current
moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The campgrounds here at Boone River are pretty good. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. Lodging is available near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

Boone River is not far at all from Webster City, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Brushy Creek Trail. Through the warm days of summer at Boone River temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Boone River are in the 0's. Boone River gets a typical amount of rain. The wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest.
