Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Kentucky tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. This river system     has a few good paddling sections and the Kentucky 1685 bridge to Distillery Pool section is one of them. This section of Glenn's Creek in Kentucky is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The wonderful Woodford County scenery and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Throughout the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Glenn's Creek. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Glenn's Creek. Glenn's Creek gets a great deal of water. May is the wettest month with most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month.
