The nature scenery of Kentucky and the water flowing gracefully down Otter Creek beats anything. The put-in is not too far from Elizabethtown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Otter Creek are pretty good. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the US 60 to Firetower
| Road stretch is one of them. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. The average Kentucky whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding.

geology is available here; Lick Bottom is in the neighborhood of Otter Creek. Otter Creek is near Boone Hollow which is definitely worth checking out. If you want to stop at some exciting stuff, stop at The Blue Hole; you'll
probably meet some people from Muldraugh here. This river is always fun. Otter Creek regularly gets a large amount of rain. March is the month that gets the most rain, and September is the month with the least moisture.
High temperatures at Otter Creek through the summer months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Otter Creek through the winter mostly descend into the 20's.
