This stretch of B Stream in Aroostock County is 4.3 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Bangor it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. | There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the 6th Bridge to Houlton stretch is one of them. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave B Stream without first going for a hike along the Kennedy Tote Road, and you're sure to encounter
some wonderful people from Houlton here. There are fine places to explore along the Pierce Tote Road. Through the summer months at B Stream highs are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down
into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at B Stream. B Stream gets a common amount of annual rain.
