about the general area: This is a popular place for folks from Rockwood, and the Arnolds Trail offers hiking at its best. An average amount of rain falls at Dead River. July is the month that gets the most rain, and
the driest of the months is February. All through the months of summer at Dead River highs are ordinarily in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Dead River overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's.
