This section of Dennys River is 2.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-III section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maine is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Rt 86 to 2.5 mi downstream section is one of them. This stretch is short so no need to bring snacks.

Beach. At Dennys River you always meet someone from Dennysville, and you beyond doubt have to have a look at Cobscook Bay State Park if you're here. This is such a great river. Dennys River is a wet place that gets a great
deal of rain. The month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Dennys River with nighttime lows in the 50's.
Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows throughout the winter for Dennys River tend to be in the 0's.
