This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Route 141 to Belfast section is one of them. This stretch is very short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.     Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: A day at delightful Cals Beach near Goose River is a glorious thing to do. Have a splendid hiking   adventure along the Spring Brook Trail, and Steels Ledge is in the neighborhood, and is a good site. At this river you will always have a good time. Swan Lake State Park is a great place; going for a hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Moose Point State Park is a good spot to explore, and Pebble Beach is a gorgeous beach to take a look at. Do schedule some time to stop by Patterson Point in the neighborhood of Goose River if you have a chance, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Camden. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Goose River.
