  The Rt. 15 to Bangor section of Kenduskeag Stream in Maine is 6 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II(III) section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Maine and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or
    kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Bangor, as you can see on the road map further down. There are many good hotels
to choose from, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. The Rt. 15 to Bangor section is one of many paddling sections in this river system.

for sure. The snow is good at New Hermon Mountain, and the trees of Prentiss Woods are a delightful source of shade on hot summer days. This river is so perfect.
