The wonderful Penobscot County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Millinocket Stream make the trip here worthwhile. This stretch of Millinocket Stream in Maine is 9 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time |
in nature have a lot of people coming here. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The put-in is not too far from Bangor, please print out

You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. some attention-grabbing stuff, explore Devils Elbow. Have a good hiking adventure along the Munsungan Lake Tote Road, and on a beautiful day you can go to Gilman Beach. This river is a wonderful place to visit. All through
the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Millinocket Stream. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Millinocket Stream
are in the-10's. Millinocket Stream gets a normal amount of annual rainfall. July is when you get the most rain here while February is typically the driest month.
