  This section of Parlin Pond Stream in Maine is 1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V+ section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near. The Parlin Gorge section is one of a few paddling
    sections in this river system. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting location is
a short drive from Lewiston-Auburn, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The nature scenery of Maine and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. For all you camping  
people there are campgrounds nearby.

You'll meet a lot of people from Eustis here; since you're here you can take a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail. If the weather is perfect here at Parlin Pond Stream, you can go for a hike along the Fire Warden Trail. Parlin Pond Stream gets a normal amount of rainfall.
