The wonderful Maine scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The New Dunn Town Road to Aroostook River section of Salmon Brook is 4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon     trip. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too.
