Briefly about the general area: If you're going to Sandy River from New Sharon, you won't be the only one, and what would winter be without some skiing at Titcomb. Going
for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a good adventure. Through the days of summer at Sandy River highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter
highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Sandy River through the wintertime regularly plunge into the 0's. Sandy River gets a large amount of water.
