Maine whitewater, Seavey Brook Washington county, Long Lake to East Machias River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.     The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Maine are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers in this state are less demanding. The beautiful scenery of Maine and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The campgrounds here at Seavey Brook are pretty good. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night,     but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Long Lake to East Machias River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Seavey Brook.
