The put-in location is a short drive from Augusta-Waterville, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so keep in mind     that the rivers in this state are less demanding. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Sebasticook River.
