The wonderful Aroostook County scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. You might have to settle for     a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers.
