Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers in this state are not as hard as elsewhere. The wonderful Aroostook County scenery and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too.
