  The Woodsmans Mills to Warren stretch of St. George River in Waldo County is 30.3 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers in this state are suitable for beginners. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations
    you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so it looks like you will be camping out. Whether you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Woodsmans Mills to Warren section is one of them. The natural beauty of Waldo County and the water flowing gracefully down St. George River have people coming here. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.

hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Camden is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and hiking along the Ragged Mountain Trail is delightful fun. This river has so much to offer. Damariscotta Lake State Park is worth visiting if you're at St. George River; since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Union. Everybody loves Lake St. George State Park, and you ought to certainly have a look at striking Laite Memorial Beach if you're here. St. George River gets a common amount of annual rain. November is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
