Penobscot River stretch of Wassataquoik Stream is 4 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do     keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots.
