The beautiful scenery of Maine and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Whether you're whitewater     rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Telos Landing to Grand Lake Matagamon section is one of them. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Webster Brook without first going for a hike along the Freezeout Road. Good hiking is available along the Eagle Lake Tote Road. For the period of the warm days of summer at Webster Brook highs are usually in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Webster Brook tend to be in the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Webster Brook is a reasonably normal site.
