  The scenic beauty of Franklin County and the water flowing gracefully down Wilson Stream attract people from near and far. The average Maine whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Wilton to East Wilton stretch is one of them. The campgrounds
    here at Wilson Stream are pretty good. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The starting location is a short drive from Lewiston-Auburn, there's a

The Wilton to East Wilton section of Wilson Stream in Franklin County is 3.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people.

What would winter be without some skiing at Titcomb; this is a popular place for people from Wilton. Wilson Stream is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. High temperatures at Wilson Stream through the warm months are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Wilson Stream nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Wilson Stream usually gets much precipitation.
