Maryland whitewater, Deer Creek Harford county, Bond Road to Susquehanna River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-III     43.5 miles   There are many put in and take out spots along the creek. A nice paddle is Eden Mill park down to Rocks state park. Put in by parking at Eden Mill Nature Center off of Gwan Grove rd. Take out at the parking area under the king and queen seats off 24 in rocks (by old consesion stand. Do not paddle further unless you are an accomplished paddler due to the immediate section after the take out. It is a fall line creaed shoot that drops about     35 feet over 100 yards and narrows to 1/3 original wifth. Not difficult but intimidating and surprising if not ready and has a potential pin spot below biggest drop. The beautiful scenery of Harford County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in location is a short drive from Lancaster, if you're not familiar with the area there's   a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Maryland tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. Now this is a pretty long section, so better bring your camping gear along. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Bond Road to Susquehanna River section is one of them. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here.
