The wonderful Maryland scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Maryland you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections in this state are pretty easy. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because

Briefly about the general area: The Burnt Mills Trail is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of
Flintstone Creek, and you're sure to come across some friendly folks from Oldtown here. On a magnificent day at Flintstone Creek you can take a hike along the Gum Spring Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Flintstone
Creek is close to the national average. July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. During the long summer days at Flintstone Creek highs are frequently in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 50's.
