The scenic beauty of Maryland and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There are many good hotels to choose from, but if you don’t have reservations     you might end up sleeping in your car. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Ski Liberty has good slopes and a friendly staff; going for a hike on the High Rock Nature Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Near Hunting Creek you locate the Cunningham Falls Nature Trail which is a fine hiking trail. For the period of the long summer days at Hunting Creek highs are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
