The Maryland Route 4 to Gunpowder Falls section of Little Falls in Maryland is 5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors     will make you glad you came. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The natural beauty of Baltimore County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: A short trip to Camp Alkor Spring is always   worthwhile, and lots of people from Parkton come here. Summertime highs at Little Falls mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Little Falls are in the 20's. Little Falls gets a common amount of precipitation. Through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
