The Pigs Ear Road to Yough River Lake stretch of Mill Run in Garrett County is 8 miles long and is a class III-IV+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are no other stretches to paddle along Mill Run than the Pigs Ear Road to Yough River Lake stretch. If you're a camper you can camp at one     of the great campgrounds nearby. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Maryland is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections in this state are safe for beginners. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Great Gorge Trail; you can hit the slopes at Wisp in the neighborhood. If you come to this river you will have a good time for sure. Through the days of summer at Mill Run highs are frequently in the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, regularly in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 30's while Mill Run overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Mill Run is a pretty wet place commonly with much rainfall.
