This stretch of Muddy Creek in Maryland is 3.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations     you might end up sleeping in your car. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. The nature scenery of Maryland and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The average Maryland whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are quite easy. Briefly about the general area:   Don't leave Muddy Creek without first paying a visit to Tolliver Falls; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Wisp. There's a forest here at Muddy Creek called Swallow Falls State Forest; Muddy Creek Falls is an inspiring place to check out while here. This is a really good river. If you're visiting Muddy Creek from Mc Henry, you won't be the only one. All the water falling down from the sky makes Muddy Creek a wet site. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the summertime months at Muddy Creek temperatures are usually in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
