This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are   lots of good rivers for that around here. Briefly about the general area: You'll meet a lot of folks from North East here; a magnificent location like Elk Neck State Park is too splendid to leave out. It's always good to pop by Gilpins Falls; a good beach close by is Roachs Shore. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Going to Susquehanna State Park near Northeast Creek is a wonderful thing to do. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Northeast Creek. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Northeast Creek.
