pleasant hiking along the Dunbar Brook Trail; Mohawk Trail State Forest is a splendid site to stop by on a beautiful day. At Cold River you always meet someone from Rowe; Monroe State Forest is both splendid and lovely.
This river is always fun. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Berkshire East; the Busby Trail offers hiking at its best. From a rainfall point of view Cold River is a relatively common place. The wettest
month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Through the months of summer at Cold River highs are usually in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
