  This stretch of Hubbard River in Massachusetts is 2.65 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. The nature scenery of Massachusetts and the cool fresh water beats anything. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Massachusetts is often easier than elsewhere,
    so keep in mind that rivers in this state are less demanding. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The starting location is a short drive from Torrington, please print out a copy of the road map further
down the page so you won’t get lost. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots.

Hubbard River is a spot with many visitors from Granville, and Tolland State Forest is a good place to check out on a lovely day. Granville State Forest is a nice local forest, and Chester-Blandford State Forest is both splendid and delightful. This river is so perfect. Hiking along the Richard Trail is nice fun; time spent at Babbs Beach is always perfect. Take a hike on the County Road Trail, and delightful skiing awaits you at Blandford. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Hubbard River. Hubbard River gets lots of water.
