Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Walker Brook you can take a hike along the Spring Trail, and pretty scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Blandford. If the weather is great here at Walker Brook, you can go for a hike along the Richard Trail, and Walker Brook is not far at all from Chester. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Places like Chester-Blandford State Forest are good to have a look at; Tolland State Forest is a tremendous site. For the period of the warm months here at Walker Brook, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
