You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. The campgrounds here at Black River are pretty good. There are plenty of other stretches in this
| river system that can be paddled as well. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. Whitewater paddling here in the Gogebic Range is a great experience. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: It's always splendid to have a look at Gorge Falls, and there are plenty of folks
from Bessemer here. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Gogebic Range. Black River is right by the Rainbow Falls Trail; a journey to Sandstone Falls will fill your spirit
with good feelings. This river is so perfect. What would winter be without some skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain. For the period of the summer here at Black River, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, regularly in the 50's.
