The scenic beauty of Washtenaw County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Getting some good     exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling spots. The Delhi Mills section of Huron River in Michigan is 2.4 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Very lovely scenery and good   skiing is what you get at Mount Brighton; at Huron River you always meet someone from Ann Arbor. Everybody loves Brighton Recreation Area; Pinckney State Recreation Area is a magnificent place to go. At this river you will never have a bad time. The annual precipitation here at Huron River is about average. September is the wettest month with most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Huron River. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Huron River.
