  The starting point is not too far from Kalamazoo-Portage, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This section of Kalamazoo River in Michigan is 0.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I-II section. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might
    find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so better not forget that many runs in this state are very easy. There's camping available near Kalamazoo River. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't
matter, around here you won't find a large number of other spots. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is an extremely short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.

here at Kalamazoo River is a splendid idea, and skiing at Bittersweet is one of those things you just should do. There are plenty of folks from Plainwell here at Kalamazoo River. At Kalamazoo River during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Kalamazoo River. Kalamazoo River gets a common amount of rainfall. The month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
