The average Michigan whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers in this state are not very demanding. The put-in location is a short drive from Merrill, as you can see on the road map further down. The wild scenery of the Gogebic Range is great. distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The scenic beauty of Michigan
| and the cool fresh water have people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Porcupine Mountain; since you're here you ought to visit Union Bay. So many fun things to do in the Gogebic Range, not sufficient time. You positively should pop by Lake Gogebic State Park since you're here at Little Iron
River; a short spree to Pewabeck Falls is always worthwhile. This river is always fun. A journey to Porcupine Mountains State Park when you're here at Little Iron River is never a bad idea, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from White Pine for sure.
