This section of Ontonagon River - Middle Branch in Ontonagon County is 7.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. The beautiful scenery of Michigan and the water flowing gracefully down Ontonagon River - Middle Branch make the trip here worthwhile. A
    bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Below Bond Falls to Highway 28 stretch is just one of many. The
nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. The campgrounds here at Ontonagon River - Middle Branch are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon.
