The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Lansing-East Lansing, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so don't forget that lots of rivers in this state are good for beginners. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular |

This section of Red Cedar River in Ingham County is 0.1 miles long and it is classified as a class I section by American Whitewater. The MSU Wave section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This is a very short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes.
