| hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beautiful Ozarks scenery is an added bonus. Briefly about the general area: Carver Creek is in the vicinity of Elephant Rocks State Park which is a lovely location, and you'll
probably meet some people from Annapolis here. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Ozarks. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crane Lake Trail; Johnson's Shut-Ins State
Park is a tremendous spot to stretch your legs a bit. This is such a wonderful river. The Taum Sauk Trail offers hiking at its best. Lots of rainfall falls at Carver Creek.
